The Picnic Train is back!

We are excited to have The Picnic Train back in Canberra, running trips between Canberra Station and Bungendore. This year it will be the mighty R766 providing the steam power.

Between trips the crew will bring the loco back into our museum yard for watering and refuelling. We can offer museum  visitors the opportunity to watch the loco servicing up close. The first dates are 14 and 15 March, followed by further dates over Easter. Timings are yet to be confirmed, so watch our Facebook page or this site for updates. Normal museum admission fees will apply.
