For some time, we've been refurbishing or manufacturing some 60 metres of drip rails, as part of the next big job to re-cover AL1040's roof.

A rewarding milestone today with the installation of carpet in AL1040 completed. And doesn’t it look magnificent! This is a major achievement for project lead Bob Hall, who has been restoring this carriage at Canberra Railway Museum for 24 years!

Congratulations to Will Driscoll, who is the winner of our junior photo competition! Will visited the museum with his grandad recently and was presented with his certificate and prize pack by our Patron, Gary Humphries.

We are delighted that Canberra Railway Museum has been recognised by ACT Fire and Rescue for our continuing support of their regular training days!

The ACT F&R visits the Museum four times a year to train rescue personnel on the safe use of heavy lifting equipment.
